Dr. Brian Hettinger, D.D.S.

Dr. Brian Hettinger grew up in Pierre, South Dakota, and graduated from T.F. Riggs High School in 2004. His career path wasn't a straight line to dentistry. After high school, he attended Le Cordon Bleu College of Culinary Arts in Minnesota and worked as a professional chef in Park City, Utah. Although he enjoyed the fast-paced culinary world, he realized his passion was helping people in a more personal and lasting way.

He returned to school at the University of Utah, earning a bachelor's degree in Peace and Conflict Studies before pursuing his lifelong goal of becoming a dentist. Dr. Hettinger graduated from the University of Utah School of Dentistry in 2021 and, shortly afterward, returned home to South Dakota to purchase Black Hills Implant and Family Dental.

For the past five years, Dr. Hettinger has been proud to care for patients throughout the Black Hills. He believes that great dentistry starts with listening, treating people with respect, and taking the time to explain treatment options so patients can make informed decisions with confidence. Whether he's placing dental implants, restoring smiles, or helping someone through a dental emergency, his goal is always the same: provide exceptional care with honesty, compassion, and attention to detail.

Dr. Hettinger met his wife, Nikki, while attending graduate school, and they were married in Park City in 2020. Today they are raising their son in the Black Hills—a place they are proud to call home. When he's not in the office, you'll likely find him hunting, hiking, backpacking, competing in CrossFit, or spending time outdoors with his family and their dogs.
